Seeking Universal Intelligence to Embrace Your Full Potential

December 29th, 2009 by admin, 1 Comment »

Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. ——Matthew 6:33

It is the act of seeking that brings us success (and ultimately salvation). Look through the perspective of any religious view. Through studies of sacred texts, pilgrimages, meditations and other rites, a quest for understanding is a quest for God. This goal relates directly to the five steps we’ve discussed in previous posts: Intention, Affirmation, Visualization, Awareness and Action.

The Law of Attraction says what we focus on, we attract. So, in the big picture, if our ultimate desires (our Intentions) are linked to our faith and God, then you will receive the blessings you seek. This might require you to take a step back and look at your intentions in the big picture. And that’s okay, because your intention to gain more clients or grow your business will only take you so far. Where will the fulfillment of those goals take you next?

Then look at your affirmations and visualizations as a form of faith. With an affirmation, visual or otherwise, you are projecting a positive end-result into your own future. You don’t “know” this to be true in your rational mind, but tapping into the unconscious you can believe it to be true. Seeking the positive will attract the positive. Plus, your awareness or mindfulness of this positive attitude will keep you on track.

Luke Skywalker: I can’t believe it.
Yoda: That is why you fail.

That brings us back around to Action. It is a difficult task to come up with good intentions for your life, believe in them, believe in yourself and stay positive. (Nobody said it would be easy!) It’s harder still to take the steps that lead us in the right direction. Call it Karma, call it God’s blessing… call it the power of the Law of Attraction. But again, each step with positive intention will be rewarded.

Using the Other Than Conscious Mind

The “Other Than Conscious” mind is another way of describing your unconscious. We’ve talked about how the unconscious plays a key role in the Law of Attraction. How do you tap into this influential part of your brain? My experience has been that there are only two ways to tap into the unconscious — through meditation or deep prayer.

When you meditate, you lower your brain wave frequency, which is where the unconscious mind operates. For example, when you are awake your brain is operating on the Alpha and Beta brain wave frequency. When you are completely asleep, your brain waves drop all the way to Delta. But, when you meditate or go into deep prayer, you tap into Theta and Delta brain waves and create a bridge between the hemisphere of your brain.

Right now, when we’re awake, we’re operating on Beta brain waves. You’re reading this and processing it with your rational mind. If you were to close your eyes right now, you wouldn’t instantly slip into meditation. You might relax and become reflective. Your mind might immediately go to your to do list, sounds would distract you, or you might review parts of your day. When you’re in this relaxed state, your brain is operating on Alpha brain waves.

When you’re in Theta, however, you’re mind is quiet. You’re experiencing the moment, but you’re not thinking of anything. You’re awake, but your mind is blank. This is not an easy thing to accomplish. There are many methods of meditation and its been practiced for thousands of years. This is why I mentioned deep prayer. In many religions, a mantra is recited over and over to quiet the mind and open yourself to a spiritual experience. The mantra originated in Hinduism, but is practiced in many religions. Praying the Rosary, or the Quakers’ silent prayer, are its Western equivalents.

The end result of practicing meditation is to identify those thoughts in the unconscious mind that prohibit our success. When you’re in the moment and your mind is quiet, you are mindful of the negativity that springs up – not from life – but from inside YOU. There you can negate these thoughts and move it past it. According to the Law of Attraction, letting go of these negative thoughts will put you one step closer to making your intentions become reality.

5 ways to tap into the Law of Attraction

December 15th, 2009 by admin, 1 Comment »

You’ve heard me talk about the Law of Attraction before. It’s basically the idea that our thoughts influence the chances and opportunities in our life. There are five basic ways you can tap into the Law of Attraction in your life.

  • Set clear intentions. The Law of Attraction can have a major impact in your life, but what do you intend to accomplish? Setting some goals is a vital first step.

  • The next thing would be to use affirmations.. More and more people are using and benefiting from daily affirmations. First, you want to make sure you’re using them in the present tense. And, what you’re doing then is reinforcing that belief system to your subconscious. In that, you’re basically reinforcing that belief system to yourself.

“Every day, in every way, I get better and better.” Notice I used “that” in the present tense. I’m not saying I will get better. Instead, I’m in the present tense: I am getting better and better.”

  • Visualize your success. Positive affirmations and visualizations serve the same purpose but in a different dimension. With visualizations you’re telling the subconscious mind that you’re living the experience. Your subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between what is real and what is not, what is good and bad. It just acts upon your feelings and your belief system. The tricky thing about it is, the subconscious doesn’t know the difference betweem real and unreal.

For example, if you tell yourself that you’re dumb, you’re good for nothing, never accomplish anything in your life. Its kind of like a mirror. But by visualizing the experience you’d like to have, it materializes in the material realm. What you feed it, it gives back.

  • Become consciously aware of your thoughts. Become aware that negative thoughts don’t get you anywhere. Protect your subconscious mind from the negative. This part of your mind is like a garden and you must keep the weeds from growing. If I had a negative thought, then I switch it out for a positive one. Remember, your sub-conscious can’t tell the difference between real and not real. If you’re telling it you’re not good at anything, your sub-conscious begins to believe it.
  • Take action. We all know that nothing happens without taking action. Do things that will take you closer to your goals and avoid things that don’t serve you.

By using these five basic steps, you’ll be able to introduce the Law of Attraction into your own life and begin to influence your chances by adopting a new way of thinking.

Use the Law of Attraction to Grow your Business

December 8th, 2009 by admin, 1 Comment »

In the last post, we identified the five ways to tap into the Law of Attraction. You may be wondering, what are some practical applications to building a personal network or improving business?

When it comes to business, you should be ready with an intention — the first step of tapping into the Law of Attraction. If you want more clients, bigger projects, or a higher quality widget for your business, those are intentions.

What you need to do now is regularly affirm to yourself that you’re growing your business day by day, or that you’re growing your clientele day by day. Develop an affirmation that matches your goals with success as the result. Along with that affirmation, you’re going to visualize yourself having more clients, serving more people, and making more money.

Here’s a great exercise for a cold call. Visualize yourself making a sales call and getting positive results. Imagine the conversation. Don’t just visualize yourself dialing the phone (though if that helps make it real, go for it). Listen in on that awesome conversation, the kind you have when you know you’re “on,” and hear what your ideal client is enthusiastically saying in response. Visualize closing the deal. According to the Law of Attraction, this kind of visualization will lead you to success.

Watch for road blocks. Be aware of negative thoughts, because if you’re not, you’ll be moving backward without even knowing it. Unchecked, your thoughts naturally gravitate toward the negative. It is imperative that you become conscious of the negative thoughts coming to your mind. Be aware of your thoughts on a bad meeting, missed opportunity or the rough economic climate. You’ll want to replace those thoughts with positive ones.

One quick caveat about negative thoughts though. Your negativity might not be completely useless. Analyze these thoughts to find themes of weakness. Negate those weaknesses with a positive affirmation that shows them to be untrue. And once you have identified them, you can be on the lookout for those thoughts as they enter your conscious mind.

Finally, you want to take action. Do the things that will grow your business. Use the Law of Attraction to be inspired by your affirmations and visualizations and conquer your negative thoughts to make your intentions reality.

The Essence of LOA in Three Steps

December 1st, 2009 by admin, No Comments »

Like the Law of Gravity, the Law of Attraction is always present. Positive thoughts attract success, logic attracts order; but also, chaos attracts more chaos, and negativity attracts defeat. To harness the Law of Attraction to obtain what you most desire in life, always remember the following:

  1. Set clear intentions.
  2. Believe that what can be, is.
  3. Allow the universe to bring your intentions to fruition.

When you’re utilizing the power of the Law of Attraction the most important first step is your intention. You can’t be wishy-washy about your goals in life. Be clear with yourself about intention. Why? Because, thoughts are things. If you can conceive it, you can achieve it. If you can see it in your minds eye, if you can visualize it, it’s there. You may not be experiencing it right now, but it’s there. So, set your intention thoughtfully.

Have faith in yourself and God. Affirm to yourself that you will achieve your goals. Visualize the small daily successes that will lead to your greater intention. Truly believe that the intentions you set now exist. They are “things” now. Things that are just waiting to move from a conceptual realm into reality, and they move closer every day that you believe in them.
That which is like unto itself is drawn. ~Abraham-Hicks

Finally, it is vital that you allow the universe to materialize your desire. As we’ve discussed in previous posts, the Law of Attraction is a universal truth. What you project to yourself and to the world comes right back to you. That means you need to get rid of the negative thoughts that spring up from time to time. Doubt, anger, jealousy and apathy are human nature, but they’re also emotions that easily multiply and eat away at the progress of your intentions. You need to fight the negative, because only with positive outlook do dreams become reality. The universe has your goals in hand. You just need to cut through the haze to see them.
